Please join us on Saturday, December 1, from 9 am to 2 pm for Life on Mission training. This course is intended to set out on a new journey of training individuals to live out our calling to meet the needs of the community through prayer and sharing the Gospel.
At this training we will discuss the “Why, Where, What and When” for reaching and discipling our own individual spheres of influence. Come see how you can make disciples as you go about your daily routine. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 28.
Also, if there is somebody that you think would be interested in this meeting, please invite them along!
Operating during November and December, our Christmas Store allows parents who need assistance to sign up for a personal shopping time and come pick out a gift to give their child (infants through high school). Our volunteers work to make sure there is a selection of age-appropriate gifts for parents to choose from, so each family leaves with a gift their child will be thrilled to receive.
There are many ways that individuals and families can get involved with the Christmas Store. Lots and lots of gifts are needed to make this event a success, so volunteers are encouraged to provide gifts for children of all ages. We also need volunteers to shop for gifts, provide refreshments for the shoppers, and to assist shoppers.
For more information, to volunteer, or to give visit our Christmas Store page.
The Worship Arts Ministry combines all of our choirs - from kids through adults - with our orchestra, drama, and technical teams to present A CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING, hosted by Gloria Gaither, December 15 & 16 at 3 pm.
Along with all of the beautiful lights, sounds, and pageantry of the Christmas story, we will take time to remember and rejoice in the good things God has done on our Josey campus as we celebrate our final Christmas musical at this location. As always, we offer this as a free gift to our community, and we encourage past members and friends of our church through the years to "come home for Christmas" and celebrate with us.
Our special guest, Gloria Gaither, was named one of ASCAP's "Songwriters of the Century" in 2000. Together with her husband Bill, she has written now classic songs that have made a huge impact on the global church, including Because He Lives, The King Is Coming, It Is Finished, Upon this Rock, There's Something About That Name and countless others. Gloria will share stories and insights on many Christmas songs she's written as we celebrate God's love reaching for us through the birth of Jesus Christ.
Doors open at 2 pm, and child-care is available for children under the age of 3.
