All fifth graders are encouraged to join us on March 22, from 5:30 to 9 pm at Jumpstreet. Meet in the South Parking lot at Josey at 5:30 pm to leave and we will return at 9 pm. Food and drinks provided. Register by March 17. The cost is $20 per person.

Life on Mission

Please join us on Sunday, March 31, from 12:30 to 5 pm at Church at The Fields for Life on Mission Training. This course is intended to set out on a new journey of training individuals to live out our calling to meet the needs of the community through prayer and sharing the Gospel.

At this training we will discuss the “Why, Where, What and When” for reaching and discipling our own individual spheres of influence. Come see how you can make disciples as you go about your daily routine. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Please RSVP by Wednesday, March 27.

King’s Kids is a six-week class for children who have made a profession of faith or are interested in making a decision for Christ. A new session of King’s Kids begins Sunday, April 7 and ends on May 19 at both our Josey campus and Church at The Fields. Classes meet Sundays at 9:15 am in Room 249 during the worship service at the Josey Campus and at 11 am in Room 125 at The Fields campus. The cost for the workbook is $5.

Dinner with the Pastor is for new and prospective members. All are welcome as Dr. Brent Taylor explains who we are, what we believe, and how to get connected and involved in the life of the church. Child-care is provided by reservation. Please register for dinner and child-care.

Dinner with the Pastor will give you a great introduction to all that First Baptist Church/Church at The Fields has to offer. It is taught by our Pastor, Dr. Brent Taylor, and it's a great opportunity for you to talk with him personally.

Step Up Weekend

Step Up Weekend

This is a special overnight retreat planned just for 5th graders. During this weekend, we will use James Dobson’s material, Preparing for Adolescence, to share with them about several important topics such as self-esteem, sexuality, peer pressure, and changes that are taking place in their lives. 

The weekend will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 12, and end on Saturday, April 13,  at 4:30 pm. The boys will meet in the home of Kenneth and Jen Agyemang. The host home for the girls is Rebecca Patterson. Chad King will lead the boys’ sessions, and the girls’ session leader is Barbie King. 

The total cost for each child is $55. This price includes a t-shirt, supplies, food, and a special activity. Our activity this year will take place at Pinstack in Plano. Pinstack offers bowling, laser tag, rock climbing wall, bumper cars, and video games as well as chicken tenders, french fries, and drink. On Thursday, April 18, at 7 pm, the Worship Choir and Orchestra will lead us in a reflective traditional litany of scripture, prayers, hymns and anthems focused on the Cross of Christ as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday. Child-care available for birth-3 years (as of September 1, 2015).

Join us on Saturday, April 20, from  11 am to 2 pm at The Fields for Easterpalooza. This FREE event will have inflatables, petting zoos, crafts, and pictures with the Easter bunny. Food will be available for purchase. Gather your family and join us for the fun, free event.

Sixth Grade Camp

Sixth Grade Camp

This camp is located in Marshall, Texas, and is for students who just completed the 6th grade. With group sessions, worship, and high-energy group-building activities, the purpose behind this camp is for students to establish  a stronger bond with their group as well as a deeper relationship with Christ. This camp is June 3-7 and cost for each student is $300. The deadline for payment and registration is Sunday, May 26, so sign up today!

Preschool Fun in the Son

Preschoolers and their parents are invited to come out and enjoy water fun at The Fields on Wednesdays this summer, starting June 5. Be sure to bring your sunscreen, a towel, and a snack. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the house, cool off, and enjoy time with other children and parents. We will not meet on June 26 and July 3.

Children's Summer Camp

Children who have completed 3rd-5th grade are invited to register for summer camp at Mt. Lebanon, June 10-14. This provides an excellent opportunity for children to experience their first overnight camp close to home. Many fun activities are offered, including a challenge course, zip tower, alpine tower, swimming, hiking, and organized games. The cost is $200 with a $75 deposit due at registration. Register by April 15 to receive a $10 discount. Registration ends May 12. 

Student Summer Camp

Students in 7th-12th grade are invited to join us June 17-22 for our Summer Student Camp. We will be returning to Bear Trap Ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and take a week to enjoy time in the secluded mountains. The theme for this year is New Beginnings: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17) 
 
If you register between February 24 and April 28, the cost is $350. If you register after that, the cost is $400. Last day to register is June 3.

Boys who have completed 1st through 5th grade are invited to sign up for summer mission camp at Mt. Lebanon, July 29-August 1. The cost is $185. It’s a week full of adventure, fun, and learning more about who God is. Register today!

We offer various sports camps over the summer, including Flag Football, Cheer, Dodgeball/Kickball, Basketball, and All-Star Sports Camp. Camps will take place at The Fields, Monday-Thursday.
